WU SHI

Product Description – RIDOMI WU SHI Jadeite Slider

The RIDOMI WU SHI Jadeite Slider combines traditional Chinese jade culture with modern mechanical fidget design. Its form is inspired by the Wu Shi Pai, an undecorated jade plaque traditionally valued for its simple, unadorned appearance. The name symbolizes peace, safety, and a life free of worries, reflecting the cultural significance of understated jade craftsmanship.

When closed, the slider retains the clean, understated appearance of a traditional jade plaque, highlighting the natural beauty of jadeite. When opened, it reveals a mechanical sliding track that delivers smooth movement and crisp clicking feedback, combining the quiet elegance of jade craftsmanship with interactive EDC functionality.

The internal structure features brass tracks housed within a jadeite body. As the slider moves, sound travels through the metal mechanism and resonates within the jadeite cavity, creating a distinctive acoustic character. The jade body softens and prolongs the resonance, giving the mechanical feedback a more mellow, lingering quality.

Two sets of track beads are included, allowing users to customize the sound. Silicon nitride and zirconia beads produce a clear, bell-like tone reminiscent of traditional jade chimes. POM beads create a deeper, softer sound similar to a wooden fish percussion instrument. Switching between the two bead types changes the acoustic character while preserving the slider’s core mechanical feel.

With its symbolic plaque-inspired design, natural jadeite construction, brass track mechanism, and interchangeable acoustic configurations, the RIDOMI WU SHI offers a distinctive blend of traditional aesthetics and modern EDC fidget interaction.
