Product Introduction – Silk

For the past two years, I’ve been delving deep into the design possibilities of an unlimited-position push card game. This time, I decided to explore a completely new category—the fidget spinner.

Designing a fidget spinner proved to be much more challenging than I initially anticipated. As new ideas emerged one after another, I spent considerable time thinking about how to create something truly unique. Ultimately, I drew inspiration from the real material “silk”, which guided me toward several design directions, including side cutouts, continuous curved surfaces, and asymmetrical shapes.

The final shape and design concept of the Silk fidget spinner reflect a high level of unity, much like a continuous piece of silk fabric. I particularly love how the side profile of the Silk reveals the scenery behind it, blending seamlessly with its environment.

The weight distribution of the Silk is a gradually emerging but relatively niche design, featuring side cutouts that combine with its slender proportions. This combination ensures a strong tactile feedback when flipped, providing an incredibly satisfying experience.
